Caddo is one of a kind. He is an Arabian Quarter cross that would go to the end of the world and further if his Momma asked him to. The bond between Diane and Caddo is like something no one has ever seen before. In the beginning they had some issues that they needed to work through but after a lot of hard work and tears they have come together making a team that can not be beaten. Caddo's background before Diane is unknown other then the fact that he was misunderstood and mistreated. Diane got him as a 2 year old and had never had horses before and wasn't 100% sure what to do with him. Caddo took advantage of that and turned into a horse that people would consider dangerous and unfit for a "Green" rider. It took some time, a lot of LOVE, and Dedication but they learned together, teaching each other. Today they ride trails by their selves and check fence line at the Farm. Diane can load Caddo up and take him anywhere with out fear now. He is totally smitten.Update..January 2016. Well I have to admit what a pair how far they have come they love doing extreme trail riding in the canyons and swim across the rivers, she even takes him fishing and camping they are inseparable. This just goes to show through a lot of hard work, dedication, and Love true Love you can go from Green... or Novice to all you can be and so much more.. she has taught this horse many things he plays Frisbee, know green and yellow, can count... oh yes I have seen it for myself they are joined at the hip and soul....Truly Extraordinary... and Fantastic to know
Joes Two Eyed Souix
Here's Trouble
Souix is Diane's second horse and is registered with APHA. She is out of World Champion Reining stallion Joestrawbery Sting. Souix did not have the "Heart" to compete so her Breeders offered her up for sale as a pleasure horse. Diane found Souix at Antique Ally in Grandview TX and fell in love. Diane mainly rides Souix around the pasture just to check fences and have some fun. Update: January 2016 we are looking forward to breading miss Souix to another paint or Arabian for the colorful cross If you think you have a horse we might be interested in plz feel free to contact me at [email protected].. Zzaznyka "Nyka"
Looking Better Then Any Horse Has a Right To.
Zzaznyka comes from the Russian word "aznyka" meaning little tree. Nyka is Diane's third horse and is regisetered Anglo Arabian. She is out of Ziaggo (a Zorrgo son) and Two Expensive, a three day event mare. Diane plans on getting Nyka going under saddle Summer 2011 and will ride her on trails and get her going on barrels. When Diane got Nyka from Dusty Bottoms Farm she was one of their rescues and still needed a lot of weight. Nyka has always been a very standoffish filly and would only tolerate some people. When Diane met Nyka, Nyka fell in love. She went straight up to Diane and Diane was able to rub all over her and do whatever she wanted with Nyka. Nyka not only tolerated it but actually loved it!!! Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for them in Fall 2011. Pedigree: http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/zzaznyka Update: January 2016 Nyka has a new owner Katie Dilworth, she plans to show Nyka and we all know she will do very well she has worked with Thorough bred horses for most of her life and she fell in love with Nyka.. We all wish them well and many happy years together...
Wally
Good To Be Back To The Green Green Grass of Home.
Wally is another one of Diane's projects and is coming along very well. He is said to have been registered with the Arabian Horse Association but there is no way to find his heritage. After building Wally back up, Diane took her first ride on him May 2011. He was a little rusty but really seemed to responed well. With a little more work she will be able to ride him like she does all of the others. Update: January 2016 Wally is so gentle and well behaved hard to imagine how misguided he once was..He is an exceptional ride, and loves to jump... But most of all hes just happy to be in a pasture where is loved and well taken care of...
